Agricultural Engineer

Job Summary

An Agricultural Engineer will lead and manage agricultural projects for a hospitality company with agricultural operations in Amman, Jordan. The role involves overseeing production to ensure high yields, quality, and efficient resource use across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise agricultural projects including olive farms and related operations
• Create and execute production plans, seasonal schedules, and cultivation programs
• Monitor crop health and productivity, applying best practices in irrigation, fertilization, and pest control
• Manage harvesting activities ensuring produce quality standards are met
• Supervise farm supervisors and field workers, coordinating daily site operations
• Efficiently manage farm resources, inputs, equipment, and budgets
• Conduct regular field visits and inspections to track progress and resolve site issues
• Prepare reports on production, costs, and project status for management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering specialized in Agricultural Production
• 7 to 10 years of experience in agricultural production and project management
• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, soil management, crop protection, and harvesting
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead field teams
• Good planning, reporting, and problem-solving skills
• Preferably residing in Amman
• Own a car or pickup for regular site travel
