Sr IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) Technical Engineer / Consultant

Job Summary

This role involves leading the architecture, deployment, customization, and integration of IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) for enterprise clients, including environment setup and integration with legacy and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, configure, and maintain IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8/9+) core components such as MAS Manage, MAS Monitor, MAS Health, and MAS Predict.
• Work with cloud and infrastructure teams to deploy MAS on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (ROCP), either on-premises or cloud-hosted.
• Set up security, directory integration (LDAP/SAML/SSO), and role-based access controls.
• Develop custom business logic using Automation Scripts in Jython/Python and JavaScript.
• Customize applications via Maximo Application Designer, Database Configuration, Domains, and Workflow Designer.
• Create complex workflows aligned with operating and maintenance procedures.
• Design and configure integrations using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), REST APIs, JSON, and Kafka/MQ queues.
• Integrate MAS with external systems including SAP, Oracle, IoT/SCADA platforms, GIS (Esri), and document management repositories.
• Plan and execute data migration and schema mapping from legacy Maximo (v7.6) or other systems to MAS.
• Conduct unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Prepare technical documentation such as architecture designs, interface control documents (ICDs), and operational runbooks.
• Deliver client handover sessions and provide tier-3 technical troubleshooting during stabilization.

Must haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• At least 5 years of technical experience with IBM Maximo, including 1-2+ years with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8.x/9.x).
• Experience configuring Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) environments hosting Maximo Suite.
• Strong knowledge of Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), REST/JSON APIs, Web Services, and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).
• Proficiency in Automation Scripting (Python/Jython) and SQL (Oracle DB, IBM Db2, or MS SQL Server).
• Familiarity with Maximo Manage modules: Asset, Work Order, Inventory, Purchasing, and Preventive Maintenance.

Nice to haves

• IBM Certified Deployment Professional – Maximo Application Suite / Maximo Asset Management.
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration.
• Experience delivering projects within KSA enterprise environments such as Energy/Utilities, Infrastructure, Transportation, or Giga-projects.
