Senior Telecommunications Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Telecommunications Engineer ensures adherence to engineering standards and customer specifications while supervising telecom design activities. The role involves technical oversight, document preparation, and evaluation of new technologies within oil & gas and infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure team compliance with engineering practices, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Support standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and templates.
• Contribute to technical knowledge and understanding of legal and customer specifications.
• Apply local and global standards to maintain technical excellence.
• Oversee checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of feedback.
• Provide technical supervision to Telecom designers and draftsmen on projects.
• Prepare and check specifications and data sheets.
• Perform bid evaluations and review vendor documents for approval.

Requirements

• Experience in Telecom Design within Oil & Gas and Infrastructure sectors.
• Commitment to HSE management in project environments.
• Expertise in regulations, codes, and standards related to Instrumentation & Control design for oil and gas facilities.
• Strong technical background in Telecommunications Engineering with knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of international telecommunication codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with codes and standards applicable to instrument design and installation such as TIA, ITU, BICSI, API, ISA, ANSI, AGA, ISO, and IEC.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Telecommunication, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering from an accredited university.
