Job Summary
This role involves leading and managing the design and development of electrical systems and components for various projects, ensuring they meet functionality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems and components using CAD software such as AutoCAD and REVIT, producing detailed drawings and specifications.
- Engineer electrical systems for buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, and control systems.
- Ensure designs comply with electrical codes and standards like NEC, IBC, and local safety codes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to coordinate design activities.
- Perform load calculations and electrical system analysis considering voltage drop, short-circuit currents, and fault protection.
- Review and verify electrical drawings for accuracy and adherence to project requirements and quality standards.
- Identify and resolve technical issues in electrical designs in coordination with the engineering team.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors regarding technical information and concerns related to electrical drawings.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 to 10 Years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency with design tools including AutoCAD, REVIT, and Etap
- Knowledge of electrical system design, load calculations, and compliance with electrical codes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to conduct quality control and troubleshooting of electrical designs
