Senior Engineer- ICT/ELV/Security

Job Summary

The Senior Engineer- ICT/ELV/Security at WSP in the Middle East, based in Amman, Jordan, will contribute to the design and implementation of building technology systems including IT, security, telecommunications, ELV, AV, and OSP. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on various infrastructure and building projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of technology solutions across multiple building technology disciplines for infrastructure and building projects.
• Prepare and coordinate design documents such as specifications, drawings, calculations, schedules, and technical reports ensuring compliance with project standards.
• Lead space planning for building technology systems in coordination with Architectural and MEP teams.
• Engage with clients to understand technology needs, assist in developing technical recommendations, conceptual solutions, and project estimates, and participate in client workshops.
• Understand and apply project delivery principles including scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Participate in securing authority approvals across the GCC, coordinating with entities like Du, Etisalat, SIRA, ADMCC, and MOI-KSA.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and technology vendors.
• Manage assigned tasks and support the mentoring of graduate and junior engineers.
• Coordinate with BIM engineers and technicians to facilitate digital project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (Electrical, Electronics, IT, Telecommunications, or equivalent).
• 7-12 years of experience in ICT, AV, ELV, security, and building technology systems design.
• Industry certifications such as BICSI RCDD, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Uptime Institute ATD/ATS, CTS, PSP or equivalents are desirable.
• Experience designing and coordinating ICT, ELV, AV, and security systems including structured cabling, telecommunications infrastructure, CCTV, access control, BMS integration, and data networks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Hands-on experience with engineering design software including AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Ease, Ekahau, and related digital tools.
• Good understanding of data networks (passive and active IT), physical and logical IT network infrastructure, IP-based building technology systems, Smart/IoT solutions, ICT, ELV, security systems design, IT converged network architectures, and Audio Visual Systems Design.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations, reports, and client-facing materials.
• Conduct peer reviews of design deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
