ServiceNow Technical Lead

Job Summary

Lead the design, development, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions, translating business needs into scalable technical architectures. Provide expertise across ServiceNow modules with a focus on ITSM, CMDB/CSDM, integrations, and platform development.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures and solutions.
• Configure and develop ServiceNow applications using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, and Script Includes.
• Design and implement integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, OAuth, SSO, and other technologies.
• Lead technical activities throughout the full implementation lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex technical, performance, and integration issues.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to ServiceNow developers and consultants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of ServiceNow experience with significant hands-on development.
• Experience leading technical delivery of ServiceNow implementation projects.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture and development.
• Advanced JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting skills.
• Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and enterprise integrations.
• Good understanding of CMDB, CSDM, data models, security, and access controls.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to lead developers while remaining hands-on technically.

Nice to haves

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) strongly preferred.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Relevant Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications.
• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) highly desirable for senior candidates.
• Experience working for a ServiceNow consulting partner or systems integrator.
• Experience delivering large enterprise or government ServiceNow implementations.
• Experience with multi-module ServiceNow programs and complex enterprise integrations.
• Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, platform governance, technical health assessments, presales, RFP responses, technical estimations, and solution demonstrations.
