Inertial Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the design, stress analysis, and structural development of high-precision inertial systems, focusing on 3D CAD modeling, heat transfer, and geometric tolerancing to ensure performance and reliability of mechanical assemblies for inertial solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in 3D CAD modeling and creation of detailed engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor or similar software.
• Support the design of compact enclosures, internal chassis, and mounting interfaces for sensitive inertial sensors.
• Conduct basic stress analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to assess structural integrity and mechanical response under various loads.
• Apply heat transfer and thermal management techniques to maintain sensor stability across operating temperatures.
• Use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure precise alignment and assembly repeatability.
• Perform basic tolerance stack-up analyses for critical fits and sensor alignment.
• Incorporate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) considerations for production methods like CNC machining.
• Support prototyping, validation, and testing of physical models, including verifying structural and thermal performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Engineer membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers (Engineer Grade category) is mandatory.
• Fresh graduate with 0–2 years of experience; academic projects or internships in mechanical design are advantageous.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
• Basic knowledge of stress analysis and Finite Element Analysis tools such as ANSYS or ABAQUS.
• Strong understanding of engineering dynamics, statics, and heat transfer principles.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T principles and technical drawing standards.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes including CNC machining and 3D printing.
• Recommended knowledge of thermal management techniques for enclosures.
• Saudi Nationals only, in compliance with local employment regulations.
