Senior devOps Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior DevOps Platform Engineer is responsible for managing the compute platform that supports the group’s services, ensuring its design, operation, and consistency across multiple cloud providers. This role focuses on maintaining a cloud-agnostic Kubernetes platform and migrating existing workloads without disruption.

Responsibilities

• Manage Kubernetes (k3s) cluster lifecycle on AWS, Azure, GCP, and Alibaba including provisioning and upgrades
• Handle cluster networking components such as CNI, ingress, DNS, and network policies
• Operate persistent storage and stateful workloads with CSI drivers
• Manage secrets using tools like HashiCorp Vault, including policy design and rotation
• Coordinate database connectivity, TLS, credentials, and connection pooling with the Database team
• Provide on-demand database and cache instances for non-production environments
• Maintain base images, node hardening, and runtime security posture
• Lead migration of Docker Swarm and IIS-hosted workloads to Kubernetes in collaboration with product teams

Requirements

• 5+ years experience operating production Linux infrastructure, including 3+ years with Kubernetes in production
• Strong practical knowledge of networking including routing, DNS, TLS, and overlay networks
• Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure as code in multi-environment setups
• Expertise in operating stateful workloads on Kubernetes, including storage classes and volume lifecycle
• Production-scale secrets management experience with HashiCorp Vault or similar tools
• Proven ability to establish shared engineering standards across independent teams
• Desirable: experience with Docker Swarm migration to Kubernetes, Windows Server and IIS-hosted .NET workloads, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, k3s, multi-cloud design, CKA or CKS certification, Ansible
