ICT Engineer – (Aviation Exp)

Job Summary

The ICT Engineer will oversee the design, coordination, and supervision of ICT infrastructure and systems implementation for projects, ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of ICT infrastructure solutions.
• Review ICT architectural designs focusing on data center modernization, scalability, security, and efficiency.
• Coordinate with teams to translate requirements into technical solutions aligned with standards.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of ICT systems on site.
• Monitor site activities for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Identify and resolve non-conformances and coordination issues through site inspections.
• Coordinate with contractors, designers, clients, and other disciplines to resolve technical issues.
• Review technical submissions, material submittals, and equipment proposals for compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering, Computer and Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture, network infrastructure, data centers, SAS, and ICT systems.
• Professional engineering registration with a recognized engineering body.
• Experience in design review, technical coordination, and site supervision of IT infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and infrastructure security.
• Experience with all project design stages from concept to handover including testing and commissioning.
• Good knowledge of ICT/ELV systems, international standards, and project documentation.
• Experience with Data Center design requirements and Tier classifications.
• Experience with physical security systems like CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and security control rooms.
• Understanding of cybersecurity requirements, network segregation, IT/OT separation, and secure ICT infrastructure design.
• Experience in airport systems, smart building systems, and complex infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with airport-specific standards and frameworks such as IATA and ICAO.
• Knowledge of OT, SCADA, IoT, and building-management integration within an airport campus.
• Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
• Understanding of sustainable construction practices in project delivery.
