BIM/GIS Engineer

Job Summary

The BIM/GIS Engineer supports the implementation and management of BIM and GIS processes during the construction supervision phase of major projects. The role involves maintaining digital models and geospatial data, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with project standards.

Responsibilities

• Review BIM models across architectural, structural, MEP, and infrastructure disciplines for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in multidisciplinary model coordination, identifying clashes and constructability issues.
• Maintain and update federated BIM models throughout construction.
• Manage GIS databases, process geospatial data, and develop maps and reports for construction monitoring.
• Support digital information management within the Common Data Environment, ensuring timely submission and proper data control.
• Verify BIM and GIS deliverables meet project specifications and conduct quality checks and audits.
• Provide BIM and GIS support to site supervision teams, including progress verification and as-built information maintenance.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on BIM and GIS matters and prepare reports on digital engineering activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Geomatics, GIS, Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Professional certification in BIM, GIS, or Digital Engineering is preferred.
• Certification in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, ArcGIS, or equivalent software is highly desirable.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in BIM, GIS, digital engineering, or information management.
• At least 5 years of experience on large construction, engineering consultancy, or site supervision projects.
• Experience with large-scale buildings, convention centers, hotels, resorts, and mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of BIM processes, GIS applications, and proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and ArcGIS.
• Previous GCC experience, preferably in Saudi Arabia, is highly desirable.
