Job Summary
The Performance Test, Senior Engineer at Master Works leads performance testing efforts for enterprise applications, focusing on performance engineering, workload modeling, and test automation to ensure scalable, high-performance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Create and update performance test strategies, roadmaps, standards, templates, and quality gates.
- Analyze business volumes, usage patterns, architecture, and nonfunctional requirements to develop realistic workload models.
- Plan and conduct various performance tests including load, stress, endurance, scalability, capacity, spike, and volume tests across web, mobile back ends, APIs, integrations, and digital services.
- Design, develop, review, and maintain performance test scripts and reusable components with parameterization and correlation.
- Define requirements for test environments, monitoring, data, access, and service virtualization, coordinating with DevOps and infrastructure teams.
- Correlate monitoring data from client, server, database, network, container, and applications to identify bottlenecks and root causes.
- Assess performance metrics such as response time, throughput, concurrency, error rate, resource use, capacity, and SLA compliance, providing technical recommendations.
- Integrate performance tests and thresholds into delivery pipelines and establish baseline and trend reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- At least 8 years of software testing experience, including 4 years of hands-on performance testing/engineering and technical or team leadership.
- Advanced skills in performance test scripting, scenario design, correlation, parameterization, execution control, analysis, and diagnostics.
- Strong knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, REST/SOAP APIs, web services, authentication, distributed systems, databases, networks, and common performance bottlenecks.
- Ability to create workload models from production or forecast data and define measurable non-functional acceptance criteria.
- Experience integrating performance tests with continuous delivery pipelines and source control.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Professional English communication skills; Arabic is a plus.
- Preferred experience with enterprise test management, service virtualization, container-platform monitoring, observability, and enterprise API gateways.
- Preferred experience with mobile back-end performance, cloud/container platforms, resilience/failure testing, and performance-capacity planning.
- Preferred relevant certifications in performance testing, software testing, Agile, or DevOps.
- Preferred experience in government, regulated, or large-scale digital-service environments.
