Job Summary
Vision Mate is seeking a technical co-founder to build a lightweight wearable device that helps people with vision impairments by capturing and describing their surroundings in real time, hands-free. This is an equity-based founding partnership to develop the product from inception.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical development of the wearable hardware and on-device processing system
- Design and implement the adaptive processing engine that handles on-device, mobile-linked, and cloud-based vision processing
- Develop the computer vision and AI capabilities to identify and describe text, people, and obstacles in real time
- Optimize the system to function reliably on weak or no internet connection
- Contribute to the formal incorporation and technical strategy in Saudi Arabia
- Collaborate on patent and trademark protection of the technology
Requirements
- Background in embedded systems engineering, hardware systems engineering, AI, computer vision, or a combination of these fields
- Experience building products from the ground up as a founding team member
- Commitment to equity-based partnership rather than salaried employment
- Willingness to work under NDA during technical and legal discussions
