Platform Ops Lead

Job Summary

The Platform Ops Lead is a development management role responsible for supervising and controlling technologies, providing technology support, and analyzing systems and processes for deployment. This position operates and maintains technology within the organization while contributing to tactical planning and fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate execution of IT strategy in alignment with overall business strategy.
• Ensure network equipment, hardware, software and services meet business requirements.
• Provide input into technology planning to ensure strategic and high-impact technologies support competitive positioning.
• Participate in development of annual technology goals and detailed implementation plans.
• Identify emerging information technologies for integration within infrastructure to maintain competitiveness.
• Coordinate development, design and implementation of new applications and changes to existing systems and software packages.
• Manage and maintain applications, systems, and local area network hardware and software acquisition, installation and maintenance.
• Lead and develop a team of IT professionals while fostering collaborative and innovative team culture focused on operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Seasoned experience working in IT operations, preferably within a global IT services organization.
• Moderate level of experience leading and managing IT professionals and experts.
• Seasoned experience working as part of an Agile team using Agile principles and methods.
• Seasoned working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, data storage systems, and phone systems.
• Advanced client engagement skills with ability to conduct presentations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high accuracy and thoroughness.
• Methodical and analytical approach with sound knowledge of project management principles.
• Critical thinking and decision-making skills with sound and accurate judgment and logical reasoning.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Service Management, or Scaled Agile are beneficial.
