Mid-Level Network Engineer

Job Summary

Support the design, implementation, administration, monitoring, and optimization of Estarta’s enterprise network infrastructure. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure reliable connectivity across the organization while managing LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, firewalls, and cloud-managed networking solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and internet connectivity.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Administer Cisco Meraki cloud-managed networking solutions including MX Security Appliances, MS Switches, and MR Wireless Access Points.
  • Monitor network health, bandwidth utilization, and infrastructure performance using enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve network outages, connectivity issues, packet loss, latency, and routing problems.
  • Implement networking best practices, security standards, and firewall policy management.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, network topology diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support and participate in planned maintenance activities outside business hours when necessary.

Must haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in Network Engineering supporting enterprise network environments.
  • Experience with Cisco networking technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, Routing & Switching, VLANs, Inter-VLAN Routing, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), EtherChannel, OSPF, Static Routing, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VPN technologies, Wireless networking, ACLs, and Network Security Fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst Switches, Cisco Routers, Cisco Meraki Dashboard, Meraki MX, Meraki MS, Meraki MR, firewall administration, and network monitoring solutions.
  • Experience using Wireshark, SolarWinds (or equivalent), PRTG, PingPlotter, and Microsoft Visio (or equivalent documentation tools).

Nice to haves

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki.
  • Experience working in medium to large-sized enterprise environments.
  • Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Enterprise), Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist (CMSS), Cisco Meraki ECMS1/ECMS2, CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE, or Microsoft Certified.
  • System administration experience, Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), DNS & DHCP Server administration, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365 Administration, Azure Administration, Linux fundamentals, PowerShell scripting, network automation fundamentals, or backup and disaster recovery concepts.

  • Working hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Working days: Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday based on business requirements.
