Senior Software Developer

Job Summary

The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for the full software engineering lifecycle, including architecture, design, development, deployment, and maintenance of high-performance applications used by thousands of businesses. The role involves working with an international team to build secure, scalable, and efficient software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimize, and maintain PHP applications supporting multiple markets.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical architectures and solutions.
• Create and maintain secure RESTful APIs integrating with payment gateways and third-party services.
• Enhance application performance, database efficiency, and system reliability through optimization techniques.
• Write clean, reusable, and well-tested code adhering to security and maintainability standards.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests, troubleshoot production issues, and implement long-term fixes.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering teams to deliver reliable features.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools responsibly while maintaining engineering quality and security.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience developing and maintaining PHP applications.
• Strong practical knowledge of Laravel and CodeIgniter frameworks.
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Proficient with MySQL, ClickHouse, and Postgres including database design and query optimization.
• Experience designing and securing RESTful APIs with authentication and authorization.
• Good knowledge of microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and message queues.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proficiency with Git, preferably Bitbucket, including branching and code review processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and optimize existing systems.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective English communication within international teams.
• Proactive attitude with strong ownership and eagerness for continuous learning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Nice to haves

• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Hands-on experience with PHPUnit or Pest for automated testing.
• Knowledge of Go Lang and React is a plus.
• Familiarity with Redis, RabbitMQ, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in developing e-commerce platforms, SaaS products, or high-traffic applications.
• Experience building scalable systems for multiple markets and large user bases.
• Familiarity with AI-powered development tools and modern engineering workflows.
