Senior Principal MEP

Job Summary

The Senior Principal MEP will lead technical and project efforts for major building developments in Saudi Arabia, delivering complex multidisciplinary MEP solutions in collaboration with clients and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of mechanical, electrical, and public health engineering across large projects.
• Provide technical leadership ensuring compliance with client needs, codes, standards, and authorities.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architectural, structural, and civil engineers.
• Review engineering outputs such as calculations, specifications, drawings, BIM models, and reports.
• Manage technical assurance, design reviews, risk, and value engineering processes.
• Oversee project quality, schedule, resources, and budget performance.
• Build client relationships and lead technical meetings and presentations.
• Coordinate with Saudi authorities and utilities for technical approvals.

Must haves

• Degree in mechanical, electrical, building services, or relevant engineering discipline.
• Extensive experience delivering multidisciplinary MEP solutions for complex buildings or infrastructure.
• Strong technical knowledge of building services engineering and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
• Understanding of project delivery, technical assurance, programme, risk, and commercial factors.
• Experience working with clients, contractors, consultants, and approval authorities.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian or Middle East authority requirements and approval processes.
• Experience with BIM and digital engineering tools and workflows.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to haves

• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional registration.
• Experience delivering major projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East.
• Experience with residential, mixed-use, commercial, or other major building developments.
• Relevant project or programme management qualifications.
