Civil Engineer

Job Summary

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for supporting the planning, design coordination, supervision, and execution of civil and structural works related to solar energy projects in Jordan, ensuring adherence to specifications, quality, safety, and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate civil and structural works for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar PV projects.
• Review civil engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
• Oversee site preparation, earthworks, foundations, concrete works, and structural installations.
• Coordinate installation of solar mounting structures and associated civil infrastructure.
• Monitor construction to ensure compliance with approved designs, standards, and project requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and assist with quality assurance and quality control activities.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, structural engineers, project managers, contractors, and consultants.
• Assist in preparing bills of quantities, material estimates, and technical reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in solar energy projects, renewable energy infrastructure, or EPC projects is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of civil and structural engineering principles, construction methods, and technical standards.
• Familiarity with concrete foundations, steel structures, and construction quality control.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and relevant engineering software.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and bills of quantities.
• Strong site supervision, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work on project sites and travel within Jordan as required.
• Good command of English and Arabic.
