Principal Engineer – Civil and Roads

Job Summary

The Principal Engineer – Civil and Roads leads major infrastructure projects, ensuring technical quality and client satisfaction. This role involves strategic leadership, mentoring, and overseeing complex civil and road design projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of civil and road projects, ensuring adherence to standards and client needs.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships as the main contact for key projects.
• Provide technical expertise and mentor junior engineers and technicians to promote a collaborative work environment.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation to meet industry and client standards.
• Manage project resources and schedules to optimize utilization and financial outcomes, reporting progress to senior management.
• Prepare reports, calculations, and design documentation.
• Use Civil 3D software to prepare designs within a BIM environment.
• Support senior engineers and project leaders in managing infrastructure projects to ensure successful delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• At least 8 years of experience in civil and road design with leadership of complex projects.
• Extensive experience in civil and road design.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
