Software Engineer L3

Job Summary

The Software Engineer L3 at ZenHR is responsible for maintaining and developing new features for company products, collaborating with team members to build high-quality software, and supporting web and mobile applications along with server infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex features and large projects.
• Work with engineering leadership to define technical direction and success metrics.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through feedback and guidance.
• Review designs and code to ensure maintainability, scalability, and security.
• Identify and address technical debt to improve sustainability and reliability.
• Collaborate with product and other teams to align engineering efforts with business goals.
• Ensure quality standards by implementing testing, alerting, and documentation.
• Demonstrate collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement as a role model.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience building and maintaining scalable systems professionally.
• Proven experience leading technical projects or initiatives.
• Strong skills in back-end and front-end development, including JavaScript and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails is a plus.
• Good understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Experience mentoring or guiding other engineers.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and infrastructure best practices.
• Ability to align technical decisions with business objectives and communicate effectively.
