class=\"mjbar-en\" dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\n<h3>Job Summary<\/h3><p>The Intern will assist the Regional Director, East Mediterranean, by supporting business development, market intelligence, strategic analysis, and reporting activities across Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, and West Bank &amp; Gaza.<\/p><h3>Responsibilities<\/h3><ul><li>Research and analyze key sector players, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes in priority sectors of the East Mediterranean region.<\/li><li>Conduct macroeconomic, sector, and market research including economic trends, regulatory changes, sector performance, and growth prospects.<\/li><li>Monitor market developments and prepare periodic updates on economic and sector trends relevant to EBRD&#8217;s regional activities.<\/li><li>Collect, analyze, and present data on companies, sectors, and markets to support business development, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.<\/li><li>Assist in preparing sector reviews, market assessments, country briefs, management presentations, and strategic reports.<\/li><li>Coordinate with EBRD sector teams, economists, country teams, and other departments to gather information and contribute to reports and knowledge products.<\/li><li>Draft briefing notes, presentations, reports, and correspondence for internal and external stakeholders.<\/li><li>Prepare background materials for meetings with clients, government counterparts, development partners, and other stakeholders, and attend meetings to take notes and support follow-up actions.<\/li><\/ul><h3>Requirements<\/h3><ul><li>Strong analytical and quantitative skills.<\/li><li>Ability to conduct market, sector, and macroeconomic research and summarize findings in concise reports.<\/li><li>Financial analysis skills and ability to work with financial and operational data.<\/li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation preparation.<\/li><li>Strong research, report writing, and presentation skills.<\/li><li>Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.<\/li><li>Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders across teams and functions.<\/li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with limited supervision.<\/li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.<\/li><li>Interest in economic development, private sector development, and emerging markets.<\/li><li>Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Public Policy, International Development, or related field.<\/li><li>Advanced computer literacy, especially in Excel, PowerPoint, and research databases.<\/li><li>Previous internship or work experience in financial institutions, consulting, research organizations, government agencies, or international organizations is
