This full-time role is based in Amman from September 2026 to September 2027.<\/p><h3>Responsibilities<\/h3><ul><li>Lead design and execution of evaluations, assessments, political economy and market studies, situational analyses, rapid appraisals, and research under the Jordan MELA SOW.<\/li><li>Develop scopes of work, methodologies, and work plans in collaboration with the Jordan MELA Regional Director and Department of State counterparts.<\/li><li>Choose and apply qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches appropriate to evaluation questions and context.<\/li><li>Oversee data collection, analysis, synthesis, and reporting for evaluation and assessment assignments.<\/li><li>Ensure adherence to evaluation quality standards, ethical research practices, informed consent, and do-no-harm principles.<\/li><li>Coordinate with subject matter experts and local researchers to enhance technical quality and contextual relevance.<\/li><li>Support preparation of evaluation design reports, final reports, presentations, and dissemination materials.<\/li><li>Translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations and support learning activities including validation meetings and dissemination workshops.<\/li><\/ul><h3>Requirements<\/h3><ul><li>Master\u2019s degree in international development, economics, public policy, social sciences, statistics, evaluation, or related field; doctoral degree preferred.<\/li><li>At least 7 years of experience in designing and implementing evaluations, assessments, research studies, or applied social science research.<\/li><li>Proven experience with qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches.<\/li><li>Experience developing evaluation scopes of work, research designs, and actionable reports for donor or government clients.<\/li><li>Knowledge of evaluation standards, human subjects protection, and ethical research practices.<\/li><li>Experience working in Jordan and\/or the MENA region preferred.<\/li><li>Familiarity with U.S. Government foreign assistance programming and evaluation requirements preferred.<\/li><li>Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.<\/li><li>Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in dynamic environments.<\/li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and
