This role involves technical leadership, client engagement, and mentoring within the Buildings team.<\/p><h3>Responsibilities<\/h3><ul><li>Lead design and technical delivery of public health engineering systems across multidisciplinary projects.<\/li><li>Develop and review fire protection system designs including sprinkler, standpipes, foam, clean agent, and specialized systems.<\/li><li>Design and review natural gas and LPG systems related to buildings.<\/li><li>Perform and review engineering calculations, system sizing, equipment selection, technical drawings, specifications, reports, and design documentation.<\/li><li>Support design coordination, modelling, and engineering team activities.<\/li><li>Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and design approvals.<\/li><li>Apply national and international codes and standards relevant to public health engineering.<\/li><li>Provide technical assurance and conduct design reviews to meet project requirements and standards.<\/li><\/ul><h3>Must haves<\/h3><ul><li>Degree in mechanical engineering, building services engineering, or a related discipline.<\/li><li>At least 12 years of experience, preferably with local experience.<\/li><li>Strong expertise in public health engineering and building services design.<\/li><li>Proven experience designing water supply, drainage, and related public health systems.<\/li><li>Experience designing gas and fire protection systems.<\/li><li>Ability to deliver designs through multiple project lifecycle stages.<\/li><\/ul><h3>Nice to haves<\/h3><ul><li>Chartered Engineer status or progress towards a professional qualification.<\/li><li>Experience with major building or infrastructure projects in the Middle East.<\/li><li>Familiarity with sectors such as healthcare, commercial, hospitality, residential, education, aviation, transport, or mixed-use developments.<\/li><li>Knowledge of regional authority
